Cook-A-Long
A traditional Japanese Cook-a-long with Grizedale Arts.
Grizedale Arts Associate Artist Motoko Fujita taught us how to cook a basic Japanese chunky dumpling soup called ‘suiton’ from our very own kitchens during a digital cook-a-long.
About:
Grizedale Arts, one of the Come Together project partners, have been working with a community in Kiwanosato, a rural Japanese village with a rapidly ageing yet active population.
The people of Kiwanosato have been sharing their wisdom and skills to connect with local and global communities. The Suiton recipe used for this cook-a-long was shared by one of the villagers then adapted by Motoko to be vegan friendly.
“Thanks so much, it is delicious and never thought I could make something like this!”
